Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood make it another week at No. 1 with “Somethin’ Bad” on this week’s Top 20 Country Countdown! Scotty McCreery and Brad Paisley round out the Top 3, while Old Crow Medicine Show’s latest video, “Sweet Amarillo,” makes its countdown debut at No. 13.

George Strait Releases The Cowboy Rides Away: Live

George Strait’s The Cowboy Rides Away: Live from AT&T Stadium is now available. The album was recorded during Strait’s final show on his last tour and features special guests Eric Church, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Jason Aldean, Ray Benson, Kenny Chesney, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson.

Eric Church was on hand both at the final show in Dallas and as an opener several times throughout the show. Strait was impressed with how Church worked the crowd.

“Eric Church is just a great artist,” Strait said. “He’s a really great performer and great songwriter. He’s got the total package. Kenny Chesney – The Big Revival Kenny Chesney took 2014 off from touring to focus on his latest project, The Big Revival, out September 23. The album’s catchy lead single, “American Kids,” is flying up the charts.

Florida Georgia Line – Anything Goes Florida Georgia Line’s sophomore album, Anything Goes, which includes their new single, “Dirt,” is one of the most anticipated releases this year. Anything Goes will be on store shelves October 14.

Jason Aldean has been burning the charts up with his new single, “Burnin’ It Down.” The single will be featured on his sixth studio album, Old Boots, New Dirt, set to hit stores October 7. Aldean announced the album via Buzzfeed on Monday.

“That title and that song, ‘Old Boots, New Dirt,’ is about starting with a clean slate,” Aldean said. “I’m the same dude, but we’re gonna start over and hit some uncharted territory here.” Continue Reading

George Strait Announces The Cowboy Rides Away Live Album

George Strait has hung up his cowboy hat on his touring career, but he is giving fans a chance to relive his The Cowboy Rides Away farewell tour with a live album, recorded during his record-breaking final show in Arlington, Texas. The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Stadium will hit stores September 16.

The album will feature a number of Strait’s 60 No. 1 hits, as well as performances with special guests Jason Aldean, Ray Benson, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride. Jason Aldean Named Most Downloaded Male Country Artist in History

Jason Aldean has been named the Top Male Country Artist by the RIAA. With more than 21.5 million RIAA Digital Single Certifications, Aldean is the most downloaded male country artist in history.

“This is such a huge honor, and one that everyone on my team earned together,” Aldean said. “I love country music, and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else… There was never a Plan B for me. Jason Aldean Releases “Burnin’ It Down”

Jason Aldean has released the lead single from his upcoming sixth studio album. “Burnin’ It Down” was cowritten by Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, along with Chris Tompkins and Rodney Clawson.

“Sonically, this track definitely feels like something different for me and what I have typically put out as the lead single off my previous albums,” he said. “I’ve pretty much always gone with a really guitar-driven song that’s pretty in your face, and this is more of a laid-back thing with a really cool groove.”

Inaugural Route 91 Harvest Festival Set for Las Vegas

Las Vegas is gearing up for its first ever country music festival. The inaugural Route 91 Harvest Festival is set for October 3-5 at The Lot across from Luxor Hotel & Casino. Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have been announced as headliners.
