Jason Aldean has released the lead single from his upcoming sixth studio album. “Burnin’ It Down” was cowritten by Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, along with Chris Tompkins and Rodney Clawson.

“Sonically, this track definitely feels like something different for me and what I have typically put out as the lead single off my previous albums,” he said. “I’ve pretty much always gone with a really guitar-driven song that’s pretty in your face, and this is more of a laid-back thing with a really cool groove.”

10 Country Stars Who Totally Rock the Cowboy Look

Great American Country is saddling up for a new show. The Highway Cowboys are a new breed of American heroes who volunteer to heard loose cattle threatening the safety of drivers along busy Texas roads. The new series debuts next Tuesday, July 8 at 10/9c, so we’re celebrating country stars who rock the cowboy look.

George Strait, the King of Country Music, is the epitome of a cowboy. Known for his signature cowboy hat and Wranglers, he’s now retired from touring, giving him more time to spend at his Texas ranch, working cattle, riding his favorite roping horses and spending time with his family.

Kenny Chesney is more of an island cowboy than a Texas cowboy, but he’s rarely seen on stage without his cowboy hat.

Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are working on their own fashion line. The line was partially inspired by one of their often used hashtags, #cantaffordnotto. The saying started within the Florida Georgia Line camp and grew from there, eventually going viral.

“We’re going to start a website,” Hubbard said. “We’re going to start a clothing line, Can’t Afford Not To. It’s just become a cool thing, one of those sayings that keeps coming up. So we’ll see what happens with it.” Continue Reading

The special will also feature can’t-miss duets and collaborations with John Fogerty, Taylor Swift, Ne-Yo and Pitbull.

“There’s no better time for live music than in the heat of the summer,” said McGraw in an interview with CBS. “Country music is hotter than it’s ever been, and with some help from a few friends in other formats, too, we’re going to get summer started off right. I’ve been lucky enough to have all these artists tour with me, and it’ll be fun to get everyone back together to help raise money and bring some attention to Lifting Lives. Not enough people know what good work the organization does, and when I was asked to help put this show together, it was a no-brainer.”

George Strait Plays His Final Show as a Touring Artist

George Strait wrapped his career as a touring musician Saturday night when he played the last show of his The Cowboy Rides Away Tour at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In true Texas fashion, George did it big, setting the record for the largest indoor concert in North America with 104,793 fans in attendance. The Rolling Stones’ 1981 show at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans held the previous record at 87,500.

George arrived on stage following an introduction from his good friend Ray Benson of opening act Asleep at the Wheel. The King of Country stood in awe at the sheer size of the crowd and waited for applause to die down before launching into his opening song, “Check Yes or No.”

“I can’t tell you how excited I am to be here tonight,” he told the crowd. “It’s just been on my mind since we started this tour two years ago, and finally it’s here tonight. We broke a record for the most people, ever. Really? Why wouldn’t we, huh?” Continue Reading
