Nashville is still ground zero for country music, but a few of the genre’s biggest stars have headed to Las Vegas. Garth Brooks wrapped his three-year run of one man shows at Encore Theater in the Wynn in November. Wife Trisha Yearwood was on hand for the emotional final performance, which Garth later told the Las Vegas Sun wasn’t his greatest performance of all time.
“It wasn’t the best show over the three years because I was too emotional,” he said. “I was getting ready to go out there and kick some ass, and then Steve [Wynn] did an introduction, and I was toast after that.”
Garth’s final show lasted nearly two hours. He sang hits by some of his favorite artists as well as his own hits and was joined by Trisha for two duets and again as the curtain came down. Garth hopes to return to the Wynn to tape the show for a television special. Rumors are also flying that he will resume touring in 2014. Continue Reading

LAS VEGAS, NV – DECEMBER 08: Singer/songwriter Tim McGraw (L) and singer Faith Hill perform during the opening weekend of their limited-engagement ‘Soul2Soul’ show at The Venetian on December 8, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are used to performing on stage with big production numbers. Their fans also expect lots of exciting sights and sounds from the pair. For those planning to see Tim and Faith in their Soul2Soul show at The Venetian in Las Vegas though, they’re in for a different kind of performance.
“It’s such an intimate setting,” Tim said. “I think that the main thing that we’re going to look at it is, as a chance to really connect with a small amount of people. Eighteen hundred people at one time in which… is a totally different thing than anything that we’re used to doing.”
See photos from Soul2Soul in Las Vegas >>
The new Soul2Soul show isn’t like any of the pair’s previous Soul2Soul tours either. “In the past, it’s been two songs together then Faith would do her show, then we’d do two songs together, then I would do my show and then we would do 2 or 3 songs together at the end,” Tim said. “So it’s been us together touring, but it’s also been our shows individually at the same time. That was really the focus of doing this, is this is really a chance to do something in a setting in one place, in a small, intimate setting that we could actually be onstage the entire time together.”
Soul2Soul opened in Las Vegas last weekend. The pair have nine more weekends scheduled at The Venetian through April.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill opened their intimate ‘Soul2Soul’ show at the Venetian in Las Vegas this weekend. The pair made good on their promise to deliver a ‘personal’ show, performing without over the top stage theatrics while putting their love for one another front and center, reports the Las Vegas Sun. The pair hugged, held hands and even kissed while onstage.
The couple entered the show separately at the back of the theater, singing while greeting fans as they made their way to the stage. Tim and Faith each performed their own hits separately but also came together to sing several songs including their hits “It’s Your Love” and “I Need You.” Continue Reading
