Top Tours of 2014 >>

“When I was on the Kenny tour, his crowd and his crew and his everybody has his spirit, which is, ‘I love my job. I love what I do. This should be fun. This is entertainment,’” Lambert told ABC News Radio. “It’s just his great spirit and love of the beach and love of relaxing and having a margarita leaks throughout the entire camp, therefore throughout the entire tour to the person on the back row of the stadium, and that’s what’s important.” Continue Reading

Miranda Lambert’s love of animals is well-documented. In an effort to continue to improve the lives of dogs in the Tishomingo, Oklahoma, area where she lives with husband Blake Shelton, Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation broke ground on Redemption Ranch, a 5-acre safe haven, this month.

Country Stars and Their Pets >>

“MuttNation Foundation, Inc. is thrilled to share the news that we are opening our own private, no-kill shelter,” the group shared through a Facebook post. “While we will continue to support and work with shelters and rescue groups nationwide, it is our hope that we will be able to save even more homeless animals from needless euthanasia by providing a safe haven for them while awaiting adoption to their new families.” Continue Reading

How to Go Camping in Style

It’s not officially fall yet, but with our new series Flippin’ RVs premiering this month, and pumpkin-flavored everything hitting grocery store shelves and coffee shops, we can’t help but get excited about all things fall. Cooler temperatures and crisp autumn air make the upcoming season perfect for camping and getting outdoors.

But what about those who aren’t so keen on the outdoors, especially at night? Well, if trekking into the wilderness or driving to a remote state park sounds daunting, consider your own backyard (or a friend’s or family member’s) as an alternative. It’s a good way to ease into camping, and you always have the option of sleeping in a real bed and taking a real, hot shower.

If you’re a fashionista, however, dressing for a camping trip (either in your backyard or at a campground) may prove challenging. Outdoor gear is less than flattering and definitely not cute. Let us offer you some inspiration. Below we’ve styled two different camping looks for the fashion-minded ladies. Just know that a lingering campfire smell on your clothes is inevitable.

Krystal Keith in the Kitchen: Peach and Prosciutto Pizza with Truffle Honey

I have found a new favorite Nashville restaurant. I don’t even like calling it a restaurant because in my opinion, nothing in Nashville compares. It is called Moto, and it is fabulous. Everything on the menu has a uniqueness, which is rare for an eatery that is this great. Most restaurants have one or two odd pairings that will raise an eyebrow for those that like to order outside of the norm, but Moto’s menu is filled with rarely seen or up-and-coming ingredients and unexpected pairings. Every single thing I’ve tried has been perfection.

Recently, they have been featuring a Peach and Prosciutto Pizza with Truffle Honey, which, I’ll admit I wasn’t sure about, but I had to try it, and I’m glad I did. I decided to bring my new Nashville favorite to Oklahoma and give it a try in my own kitchen. The hubs melted with the first bite, which was my reaction when I tried it at Moto, so I knew this one was a keeper.

Florida Georgia Line Was Almost ‘Orange Peach’

Florida Georgia Line
Florida Georgia Line almost had a very different name. Their home states of Georgia and Florida are known for peaches and oranges. Looking for a name that would pay homage to their roots, the duo very nearly named themselves ‘Orange Peach,’ they tell Taste of Country.

Watch Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt” music video >>

“We lived together for two years in Nashville and were hanging out in the hall and decided to take this music thing seriously and wanted to represent where we came from,” Brian Kelley said. “Orange Peach was an early suggestion, then it got moved to Florida Georgia Line.” Continue Reading

Carrie Underwood Producing TV Series Based on “Two Black Cadillacs”

Carrie Underwood - Two Black Cadillacs TV Series

Carrie Underwood may not be touring this fall, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t keeping busy. Rolling Stone reports Underwood is teaming up with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ildy Modrovich to executive produce a six-hour television series based on her hit song, “Two Black Cadillacs.” Set to air on FOX, the series is set in the modern-day South and tells the story of a wife and mistress who work together to murder a cheating husband.

“One’s the wife, one’s the one he’s messing around with — and you root for them both, because it’s not their fault,” Underwood said. “He’s lying to both of them. They figure it out, and what do they do about it? They kill him! And the first time they meet is at the funeral. There’s two black Cadillacs, and you think maybe that’s the car he bought for both of them. It’s dark, it’s stormy, it’s dramatic — it’s like a soap opera.” Continue Reading
