Since she first appeared on the country charts 33 years ago, Reba McEntire’s changed her hair and her wardrobe — but one thing has never changed — her trim figure.
According to Cincinnati’s examiner.com, Reba stays in shape by training with Pilates expert and personal fitness trainer, Risa Sheppard. The site reports that Reba does “the hundred,” a basic Pilates exercise, almost daily, which sculpts abdominal muscles, flattens the stomach and strengthens the back.
Risa tells the site that Reba also performs a variety of flexibility moves because she tends to “tighten up” when she travels. “Stretching her hamstrings and lower back can be challenging, [but] she knows if she doesn’t do it daily she will pay the price!” she says.
What does Reba eat to stay healthy? Risa says the superstar drinks lots of water, and “for breakfast, a poached egg and toast for light protein and carb to help her through the day. For lunch, it’s a hearty salad with lots of vegetables and maybe some fish on top. For dinner, she enjoys a meal of chicken or fish, along with plenty of vegetables and a salad. She loves fruit for dessert, and if she cheats, it’s with some cookies.”
