Mark your calendar and set your DVR for Monday, October 5 at 8 p.m. Eastern. That’s when you can see the world premiere of Josh Turner‘s new video for “Why Don’t We Just Dance” — only on GAC’s Monday Music Mania!

“Why Don’t We Just Dance” is the debut single from Josh’s forthcoming album, Haywire, to be released on February 9, 2010.

Josh recently shot the music video with award-winning directors Robert Deaton and George Flanigen. The video takes the viewer on a trip through time.

“We actually start in the 1950s and work our way through to the present,” says Josh. “I thought it was a great concept because it shows that the song has a timeless message. Every decade has had its hard times and sometimes it’s good for people to step back and say, ‘Why Don’t We Just Dance?’ Let’s forget about the bad news and just focus on each other.”

Josh’s favorite decade that’s featured in the video is the ’80s.

“I laughed out loud when I saw the dancers’ (Ciaran McCarthy and Ashley Anderson, who are married in real life), wardrobe for the ’80s scene,” he says. “It brought back a lot of memories.”
