Kenny Rogers remains one of country music’s most identifiable personalities, and he’ll make an appearance this fall on an episode of CBS-TV’s “How I Met Your Mother.”
Kenny’s slated to sing on the Oct. 19 episode of the sitcom, according to The Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Titled “Dual Citizenship,” the installment has him performing a song called “Goodbye, Sparky” in the midst of a plotline that’s drawing comparisons to the canine-themed movie Marley & Me.
Kenny has a lengthy acting history, thanks to his role in the “Gambler” TV movies, a starring slot in the 1982 film Six Pack and guest appearances on “Evening Shade,” “Touched By An Angel” and “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.”
Leading up to his TV moment, Kenny’s busy on the road in California and Nevada. He plays in Modesto on Wednesday, Temecula on Thursday, Reno on Friday and Primm on Sunday.
