Keni Thomas, the country singer who formerly served with a military special ops unit that fought in Black Hawk Down, will take part in another newsworthy all-American event this week.

Keni was asked by Major League Baseball to perform “God Bless America” during the seventh inning at Yankee Stadium Wednesday in the first game of the World Series. The Philadelphia Phillies square off in the fall classic against the New York Yankees, appearing in the series for the 40th time in their history.

“As a veteran, it’s a privilege and an honor to be part of Major League Baseball’s tribute to veterans… and to represent country music,” Keni says.

Keni’s performed at Yankee Stadium five times previously. That includes a rendition of the National Anthem on June 14 during Military Appreciation Day.
