She once dated the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, so it’s easy to see why people have assumed Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova” is about Tony Romo. It’s not. But she won’t be fumbling the No. 1 position this weekend as Nan Kelley hosts a new edition of GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown.
Carrie’s been all over the place with “Casanova.” It hit the top of the airplay charts, she performed it on the Country Music Association Awards and the American Music Awards, and she used it to open her FOX Christmas special earlier this week. This week, it spends a third straight week at No. 1 on the Top 20, but Tony has no part in any of the song’s achievements or public performances.
“I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong,” she says in the current issue of Esquire. “I would never give him that much credit.”
Top 20 Country Countdown counts down the week’s top country videos from No. 20 to No. 1 as voted by viewers on each week on GACTV.com. A new countdown premieres every Friday at 8 p.m. ET on GAC and airs again Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. ET; Sundays at 1 p.m. ET; and Mondays at 10 a.m. ET. Viewers can vote for their favorite videos, as well as purchase Top 20 artists’ albums and ringtones at GACTV.com.

Taylor Swift SUCKS!
Carrie Underwood is the best!!
Cowbaoy casanova isnt even a country song. Its more of a pop song…
so big deal
Carrie’s new cd is really amazing. Love all of her songs from all three of her cd’s.
CARRIE is amazing!! I love all her CDs too!!!
The longer you listen to her third CD "Play On" the more you feel in love with all her music. Just keep playing and listen to each song. You will find out that this CD have so many good songs.
Fpr me it is BRAVO like the CD a lot.
omg ur sooo right!!
play on, every song on there could be a number (1) one, it is the most amazing album ever!! people just need to purchase it and see what we are talking about, and yes i like miranda too and do vote for her when opportunity comes along but miss carrie first.
I love her album–it is very versitile and my friends and I love every song on it. She is the BEST vocalist in any genre today. Old Goat —–yes she is a good role model. My friends and I are in college. I think Carrie was wise in finishing college and getting her degree. She graduated Magna cum laude (very smart)– My friends and I are going to see her in concert in Cincy in April—CAN't WAIT!!!!!!!!
CC deserves the top spot, Great fun video! Thanks GAC!
When is the next NEW TOP 20 Countdown as next week is a Best of?
Are we wasting our votes this week & next?
I can't see that there is a TOP 20 until 2010 so what is up?
january 8th
really happy for carrie staying where she belongs. but is anyone else happy to see miranda staying strong at #4? she really deserves a #1!!
I love Carrie Underwood new album I have listened to it over and over!!!! I like to put good songs on my i pod and I will put all her songs on !!!!! I hope she gets # 1 for every song she puts out !!!!! she is great!!!!
I love CC and am so glad it is still #1.The entire Play On album is awesome.I wish the entire album could be a single. That is how great this album is.I loved her special.Carrie is a very talented young woman.I also love the fact that Carrie said she would not give a guy the credit in a song that hurt her. That is real class that Carrie keeps her personal life out of the songs she sings.
Carrie is awesome…I love Cowboy Casanova and all the songs on her Play On album. She makes us proud to be her fans!
74 here. And I love Carrie!! She is So Sweet!! She is the Best!!
carrie has it all and lots of fans that are so devoted to her this last album is worth it all!!
Good news, OldGoat. Temporary Home is indeed the next single! It's already up to #32 on the country airplay chart. Many rumors on Twitter today that Carrie was spending today at a video shoot for Temporary Home. If true, it won't be long before it's on GAC. Fingers crossed!
So glad to see Bucky Covington back on the countdown, his rendition of Nicklebacks song "Gotta Be Somebody" is beautiful,Nickleback should be proud.I am a true Bucky fan,I just love that voice. He also does a great live show, and he is such a nice person with a great sense of humor, and I admire all the charity work he does. I think American idol has given country music some real talent over the years with Bucky, Kellie, and Carrie.Looking forward to many more hits from Bucky..Keep Those videos coming!!!!!
i think it's great she would never give a guy credit for hurting her. Awesome Carrie
I agree! That shows class! Her new CD is awesome and I have listened to it over and over again!
I love Taylor Swift
she sucks ass, and dosent deserve any of her awards
I totally agree w/ you Heather!!
I love Taylor too!!!
Good taste. (Sarcasm)
Taylor Swift CAN NOT sing…. maybe she could write songs and let someone else sing them….PLEASE!!!!
you are crazy taylor swift cannot sing
Your PROBLEM,yOU CAN SEE MORE OF HER ON VH1
Carrie has put out,Cowboy Casanova as the only single off "Play On" but she's also done Temporary Home,Undo It,Mama's Song,Songs Like This,What Can I Say and of course my personal favorite "Change"(The World).and a wonderful rendition of "Oh!Holy Night A clip from her Special of this should be a Video for it.I wonder what the next single is going to be?But since she loves Temporary Home so much that will probably be it while I think she has Great material to make a Video for "Change"(The World) a song with International appeal for Charities and should be her next single.Carrie's sucess lies in her Great Vocal Ability,Her Character and her Girl Next door appeal and she's such a Great Role Model,After Idol even with sucess she went back and finished College and got her Degree.I think she a example of what we want young ladies to be and admire especially us Older Folks(75 This Year).
carrie is an amazing artist the best there is in country
music every song on her album is incredible !!!!
