Sara Evans recently called us from her Los Angeles hotel room (she was in L.A. with husband Jay Barker, attending the 2010 Citi BCS National Championship Game) to talk about her new book, The Sweet By And By, and what else is in store for her this year.

In the third and final part of our interview, Sara tells GAC how the strong females in her life influenced The Sweet By And By‘s characters. She also reveals the one message she hopes fans will get from reading the book, and gives the backstory on a certain “Desperate Housewives” actress’ glowing recommendation.
