Rascal Flatts Takes Its Sweet Time for TV

Rascal Flatts

Joe Don Rooney must have put in some serious travel time this weekend. Rascal Flatts played Thursday in Evansville and Friday in Detroit. Their Saturday show in Dayton, Ohio, was postponed by snow, and he was slated Sunday to attend the Super Bowl. Monday, the band went to work in Los Angeles, beginning a three-day shoot for a new Hershey’s commercial.

Rascal Flatts won’t just appear on camera. They also wrote the jingle for the chocolate company, though it’s tough to identify.

“It doesn’t’ have a title, so don’t ask us what it is,” bass player Jay DeMarcus says. “We just called it the Hershey’s commercial because we can’t figure out what to call it.”

Hershey’s is a co-sponsor of the band’s current Unstoppable Tour along with JC Penney, and one of the perks is a large supply of chocolate.

“We hoard that stuff!” Joe Don says.

Which means they’ve got plenty to give away for Valentine’s Day. They’ve also got a new digital-only album for sale for the holiday: 14 Love Songs For The 14th.

The complete track listing follows:

• This Everyday Love
• While You Loved Me
• Love You Out Loud
• One Good Love
• I Melt
• Like I Am
• Where You Are
• Bless The Broken Road
• Cool Thing
• The Day Before You
• My Wish
• Take Me There
• Secret Smile
• Unstoppable
