With the Olympics in full swing, network prime-time TV has gotten pretty bland. You either get winter sports on NBC or you mostly see reruns on the other channels — all the more reason you should be watching GAC!
But all returns to normalcy next week once the Winter Games are over, and several country stars — Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley — will be right in the thick of it. Flatts and Carrie have acting roles on tap, while Brad will perform in a talk-show episode that has a little connection to history.
On tap next week:
• Rascal Flatts makes an appearance on the March 4 episode of the CBS drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” with Jay DeMarcus bloodied in the plot. “I don’t wanna give too much of the storyline away,” he says, “but from the commercial, you can tell there’s an attempt on my life and it happens during one of our live shows. And the story continues from there. We don’t know who’s done it, but it could be [Joe Don Rooney or Gary LeVox], it could be my manager. A lot of people have wanted to kill me over the years, so it’s pretty realistic!” Here’s the “CSI” mix of “Unstoppable”:
• Carrie Underwood has a role in Monday’s installment of the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” and it seems like the only way to figure out the whole confusing mess fits together is… well… to watch it. She plays a pharmaceutical sales rep but ends up holding a small pig while dressed in a flight attendant outfit. “I’ve always been hot!” her character boasts in a sneak peek on the People website.
• Brad Paisley appears on “The Tonight Show” on Monday. Lots of stars make the rounds on the talk shows, so that’s not particularly unusual — except that this is the first night that Jay Leno will be back in his old timeslot after NBC’s ill-fated decision to move him into prime time last year. So Brad’s doing one for the history books. Here’s another bit of trivia for TV buffs: Who was the last country artist to sing on “The Tonight Show” during the Conan O’Brien era? That would be… Rosanne Cash.

I can't wait to see Carrie, Rascal Flatts and Brad. They are all so talented and represent country music so well. Carrie is so talented and such a sweetheart. I have met her twice and she is just the best. Amazing voice, amazing personality and really has a great sense of humor. Can't wait to see her. CSI is one of my favorite shows and can't wait to see Rascal Flatts! Brad is so funny and talented..can't wait to see him, too. WTG, Everyone!! Next week sounds like a good tv week!
kerrie underpants is such a snob and has no talent. taylor swift & julianne hough are way better singers. if kerrie is so great then why did she not win 2009 CMA female vocalist like taylor did. taylor sure can sing and has a great voice. kerries fans are all a bunch of sheep.

Some of the most talented country artists out there on national television, this is AWESOME!!! I'll be watching Carrie on Monday and Rascal on Thurs for sure, will have to tape Brad's appearance though. Carrie is the Female Country Music Ambassador!
I will definitely be watching both shows! Carrie is amazing! She has a wonderful voice and she puts on a good concert! She can actually sing live and cares a lot about her fans.

I guess if "NO TALENT" gets you 5 Grammys, 14 Billboard Music Awards, 8 ACM Awards (including EOTY), 5 CMA Awards, 5 AMA Awards, 15 million albums sold worldwide, Top Female Country Tour of 2008, #1 Country Album of the Decade (as recorded by Billboard officials), a Superbowl National Anthem performance honor, a Grand Ole Opry induction, an American Idol win, 11 #1 singles (most #1's by a female country singer from the 2000-2009 decade), etc., then I guess I'd want her to have no talent.
Definitely will watch all three. I love all these artists, especially Carrie. She can sing anything and I will watch whatever she is in.
Wow! Country music fans are awful! If this is the way all country fans treat the singers I am surprised anyone wants to be a country music singer! If you don't like someone, please be quiet! There are plenty of people who like these stars – and if someone went on your favorite stars story and said these kind of things about them, I know that you would become so rude (I mean you are really rude now!!!!!!). Let people who like these stars alone!
I completely agree! When I don't like someone, I don't read the articles about them, and I certainly don't say mean things.
I will be watching both Carrie and RF (love CSI), never watch the sitcom, but will the week Carrie is on. Country for me is not defined by twang, it is the style and material- the message. And what in the heck does weight have to do with this subject? Do YOU want to be judged by how YOU look? Pretty shallow thinking. I think BOTH Brad & Keith are VERY talented at their craft, no comparisons needed, and apparently they enjoy & respect one another enough to do a video together. it is the FANS that insist on placing one over the other.
oh and as far as carrie acting,,,she is to fakey in the some of the cuts they showed on tv ,,,what a fake!!
carrie is sooooo OVERRATED!!! Iam so sick of her!!! maybe she has got an ok voice but thats it her personality stinks…I saw her once and we all walked out half way through her performance she just so stuck on herself and did NOT care about us in the crowd!! cu is full of herself, thats all i have to say about her…but rascal flatts are awsome!!!!!!

I have been to a Brad Paisley concert, two actually, and he is talented, but he is no Keith Urban!! I have been to Keith Urban concerts and will not spend anymore money on anyone else. Keith takes his music to a level no one else can match!!
I've never seen Keith live though I would like to, but I have seen Brad and I actually really enjoyed it. It was very high energy and it was outdoors and such a great experience. But they are two very different artists, so I could see some disagreement over them. I just like how they are both so appreciative and have such good senses of humor.
I've never watched HIMYM before, but I'm going to have to tune in for Carrie. She looks fantastic and seems like a believable actress (from the preview clips released).
Micheal – BP is not a Keith Urban wanna-be. He is his own person and his guitar playing outstands Keith's by far! u should go to one of his concerts and enjoy yourself. He is amazing! I think u would be surprised. Just a suggestion.
with these three representing the USA but, who will represent country music is what i would like to know? carrie couldnt carry a country tune in a wheel barrow. Brad lost his sound and is nothing more than a Keith Urban wanna be. Rascal Flatts is not country they r merely boys singing in harmony on a street corner to say the best of them…WHERE IS THAT TWANG? Do people remember what country music is and its real sound? I dont know what class to place this music in but it certainly aint country. Listen to Loretta, Dolly,Reba Miranda and a new comer Laura Bell Bundy. these are true country performers.

Carrie can carrie one heck of a tune. Check any of her 11 #1 hits (the most of any female country artist from the 2000-2009 decade). She's quite capable of carrying an emaculate, on-key tune.

I don't watch HIMYM but I'll be tuning in Monday night just to see Carrie. The clips have been cute and it does look like an episode that will keep my attention. It's nice to see Carrie doing this role. I always thought she was a little misunderstood because she was always so quiet and this is a nice little role to let people see another side of her. I wish her all the luck in the world. She has a stunning voice and anytime I can see her – is just good for me.
I'm going to be on a service trip next week and will miss when these shows air, so thank God for the internet to watch it later!__I'm mostly excited about Rascal Flatss because I love CSI, and I think Carrie will be really funny on HIMYM.__However, I've never liked Leno, and especially considering the recent controvery, sorry Brad, maybe I'll YouTube just your performance later.

Carrie will awesome only if she lost that weight i seen her gain. Yes i saw the pic of her in a bikini she says it was a fat day.. so she can be fat one day and skinny the next. Also, you don't need a twang to be country or appreciate it. I have a Boston accent and I appreciate the different sounds of all artists.
