The classic bob hairstyle never goes out of style — and now it’s being sported by another timeless American classic. Willie Nelson recently chopped off his waist-length pigtails to a wash-and-go chin length ‘do.
Willie’s publicist, Elaine Schock, told AOL partner PopEater.com that the country legend made the cut sometime in the last two weeks, after growing tired of dealing with it. Photographer Jessica Pearl captured Willie performing onstage in Hawaii with the new look.
“There’s a lot of maintenance,” Schock said.
Willie, 77, started his career with short hair, but as he evolved into one of country’s musically independent Outlaws in the ’70s, he began letting it grow.
