“Makin’ Me Fall In Love Again” has made a big impression for Kellie Pickler, skipping its way to the No. 3 position on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown.

The video finds Kellie dressed up as a World War II-era woman in a series of outfits, including a red dress with long, elegant gloves; a faux-sailor pants suit; and a tight, canary-yellow costume that shows plenty of leg. It adds a romantic flair to the song, which brought its own upbeat romance to Kellie’s self-titled album.

“I picked that song at the very, very last minute,” she says. “It was the last song that I recorded. When I first heard the song, that’s where I was in my life, and that’s where I feel like I am right now. So it was really cool to be able to have that positive, happy song ‘cause I don’t want to get the reputation of a man-basher, you know, where all I do is record songs that are about heartache, because, behind heartache, there was always once love. Right now, I am in that particular stage in my life, and so it’s really cool to sing that song and feel it.”

Kellie will likely be singing that song during a 30-minute acoustic performance Thursday afternoon at the Opry Originals shop in downtown Nashville during the CMA Music Festival. Kellie also appears Sunday at LP Field during the final stadium concert of the festival. She’ll be part of a lineup that evening that includes Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Justin Moore, Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins and Mark Wills.
