By now, my grandmas cancer had progressed to the point she could not walk so I would carry her in my arms. All the better seats were taken, so I asked security if they could accommodate my grandmas needs and Mrs. Loretta made my gramdma, my momma and me a seat on the front row. After the concert and autographs were being signed, Mrs Loretta came to my grandma and gave her a loving hug and told my grandma she would keep her in her prayers. Continued in next comment. It was in the late summer of 1996 and my grandma was diagnosed with colon cancer. My grandma, who was from southern Illinois, had chose to spend that summer with me and my family in Alabama. While visiting us, my grandma told me that she felt it was time to go back home to southern Illinois to be near her doctors. I asked grandma was there anything she wanted to do before I took her home. She said she would like to see Mrs. Lorettas home. Continued in next comment.
