Taylor Swift has promised for some time that a new album would be in her fans’ hands by the end of the year, and it appears she’s started the building blocks for the marketing campaign.

She showed up rather quietly in Maine this week, according to The Portland Press Herald, for a video shoot that soon created a stir as the locals reported Taylor sitings: She was spotted Wednesday at Ram Island Farm in Cape Elizabeth outside of Portland; she had a hamburger that night at Becky’s Diner on Porland’s waterfront; and shot a wedding scene Thursday at a church in Kennebunk.

Photos popped up on the Internet Thursday of Taylor and a blonde groom leaving the Christ Church on Dane Street in Kennebunk. Taylor dressed for the part in a trailer across the street from the church — a tell-tale sign of a video shoot — though Taylor’s spokeswoman was unable to confirm to the newspaper that the singer was making a video. The spokeswoman was unable to provide the title of the song to GAC, though Taylor’s mom, Andrea, told SeaCoastOnline.com the video will be out in about six months.

The timeline certainly suggests Taylor’s gearing up for the next project. By comparison, when Taylor released her 2008 album Fearless, she shot the video for the first single, “Love Story,” on Aug. 6. The song was released Sept. 8, and the album came out Nov. 11.

Fearless has since gone six-times platinum and won Grammys for Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year.
