Jason Aldean has plopped 25 more Wide Open tour dates onto his fall schedule, providing a segue between his 2009 album and the next project, which could come out around the time Wide Open closes.

Jason kicks off this next round of shows on Sept. 10 in Corbin, Ky., and wraps it Nov. 20 in Duluth, Ga., with Luke Bryan again on board as the opening act on most dates. Uncle Kracker will take the lead-in slot for four shows: Sept. 17 in York, Pa.; Sept. 19 in St. Leonard, Md.; Sept. 30 in Tallahassee; and Oct. 23 in Moline, Ill.

“The music will be loud, the beer will be cold, and college football will be on every TV backstage and in the parking lot!” Jason promises.

In the meantime, he’s got his nose to the grindstone for the next album. During the CMA Music Festival last month, he said he’d partially recorded 10 or 11 songs, though they weren’t finished. “Crazy Town,” which just peaked in the Top 5, is the last single he’ll released from Wide Open. The next will come from the upcoming project.

“We’re gonna have some new music out there pretty soon — hopefully have the album out… somewhere around November possibly,” he said. He’s “definitely workin’ on it, tryin’ to get in the studio whenever we have a day off, work on it a little bit and get it out before the end of the year.”

And — surprise! — Jason will follow that up with a new tour next spring and summer.

That tour doesn’t yet have a name.

“Neither,” Jason noted, “does the album. We’re workin’ on that.”
