Josh Turner and wife Jennifer are expecting their third child. Josh announced yesterday on People.com that his two sons, three-year-old Hampton and one-year-old Colby, will be getting a new sibling come January. “Jennifer and I are very thankful to be expecting our third child,” says Josh. “We’ve always wanted a big family. It’s hard to believe we already have two with another on the way.”

While fans found out about the impending arrival online, Josh and Jennifer made sure to tell Josh’s grandmother in person. Traveling to a sold out show in Myrtle Beach, SC, Josh was close to his hometown of Hannah, SC and asked his grandmother if she could meet them. Josh says he asked her “Are you ready to be a great-grandmamma again?” to which Grandma responded “I was thinking that it was about time!”

Josh and Jennifer have made touring a family affair. Jennifer plays keyboard in Josh’s band and contributes background vocals, while the boys travel with them on their bus. “We get to see the whole world together and the boys are learning so much more than they would if they were just hanging around the house all day,” Josh told People yesterday. He also mentioned to the magazine that the expanding Turner family is considering purchasing a bigger bus.

Josh is the latest country star to announce a new addition. Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney are all expecting their baby No. 2 in the coming months, while James Otto and Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus are set to become first-time fathers.
