With fall looming, country stars are lining up with dates for new albums and with some brand new singles.

Among the acts with new songs in release are Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney and Sugarland, each of whom put out a new single in the last three weeks. Reba’s “Turn On The Radio” comes from an album due in November — her first with in-demand producer Dann Huff, known for his work with Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts. Kenny’s new song, “The Boys Of Fall,” embraces high-school football, and it landed in country’s Top 15 in just its second week on the charts. And Sugarland’s “Stuck Like Glue” was written with two other people, including a member of the rock band Better Than Ezra.

Here’s what they’re saying about their new music:

• Reba, on “Turn On The Radio”: “I fell for the song immediately. I love that it’s an up-tempo, strong-woman song about a woman who has been done wrong by her lover and is telling him to turn on the radio if he wants to hear from her through their favorite song. Dann Huff and the musicians did a wonderful job bringing the heart beat out in the song. It definitely gets your attention from the very start.”

• Kenny, on “The Boys Of Fall”: “I’ve been very lucky to have a lot of songs do well, and to have a lot of songs touch a lot of people, but I don’t know if I’ve had a song like ‘Boys of Fall,’ ever. When I first heard this song, I knew that there was gonna be a lot of people that heard the lyrics to this song and really be able, not just to relate to it, but they live with it because there are so many lessons that, in life, that you learn on the football field that are very parallel with what happens in everyday life.”

• Sugarland, on “Stuck Like Glue”: “The song came about in a really fun way,” says Jennifer Nettles. “We were actually in the studio. It’s one of two songs that we wrote while we were in the studio process.” “It all came born out of this really cool beat and this really cool hook,” adds Kristian Bush. “It’s an infectious beat — it almost sticks kind of like glue to you.”
