Rascal Flatts at a press conference on July 29, 2010, announcing their signing to Big Machine Records.

At their press conference announcing their new record deal with Big Machine Records, Rascal Flatts joked that label head Scott Borchetta was the proud father of triplets. “And we came out potty trained,” cracked Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus.

“Not very many people get into this industry and are able to look back and say, “We’ve been able to do it for 10 years,” continue Jay. “And that’s what we’re really thankful and grateful for – that someone still wants us after 10 years. I’m so excited about the future and what it holds.

During their announcement, held Thursday, July 29 in Nashville, the trio unveiled the covers of their new album, Nothing Like This, and new single, “Why Wait.” Watch part 1 of the press conference below to see them – and check back next week for part 2:

  1. I have been a fan since day 1. I love their music, have all their cd's, have seen them 9 times in concert, and am a member of the fan club. Their music keeps getting better and they are truly nice men. I'm glad they got the new record deal and will have a new cd out in November. 10 years down and many good things to come in the future.

  3. I am glad RF signed with Big Machine,i think they really go all out for their acts.Think their new album will be good. And as someone else stated that being on the same label as "the no talkented swift would hurt them",I would say to that is i respect your point of view, but i think your dead wrong about taylor and RF being done!RF is still really good, and Taylor sure has had a lot of sucess for being a no talented hack!I sure wish i could have some of her sucess and her no talent!!!.

  6. You guys make the best music!!! Rascal Flatts is my fave country band, and my fave band overall!!! 10 years with Lyric Street, and more with Big Machine!!! From the days of Prayin' for Daylight to being Unstoppable, you guys are freakin AWESOME!!! :)

  7. These guys are over the hill! Unfortunately, Gary doesn't have close to the vocals as when he was younger and it is bringing the rest of the band downhill. It hurts me to say this as I' was a big Rascall Flatts fan. The other problem ios them being with the no talent Taylor Swift on the same label.

  9. Here's to another successful 10 years guys! So nice to have talented, decent, humble singers in the news, instead of the vulgar, filthy mouthed Blake Shelton all the time!

    • If you don't like Blake, that's your fault. This isn't the place to voice that.

      • What's your problem Rick? I happen to agree with her. And good luck with your new label RF. Your fans love you!

    • I was there! They were very interactive with their fans, especially the younger ones. I had lost interest in them since they became over rated, but now I'm back to loving them!
