Brad Paisley’s H2O World Tour has been one of the biggest concert packages of the summer, and this weekend, Brad and all five of his tour mates — including CMA nominees Steel Magnolia and Easton Corbin — will join host Nan Kelley on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown.

Brad’s dates have been mostly outdoors with Darius Rucker and Justin Moore serving as main-stage warm-up acts. In addition, he’s created a big Water World Plaza with lots of side attractions and smaller-stage performances from Easton, Steel Magnolia and Josh Thompson.

For an act like Steel Magnolia, which won’t have a debut album in stores until Jan. 11, the chance to be part of such a major tour has provided a first-hand look at one of country’s real stars. And the duo is impressed.

“Brad will get up to rehearse or do soundcheck, and he’ll do it sometimes for two hours a day,” Joshua Scott Jones says. “He’ll tweak his guitar amp and everything, and I’ve heard certain guys say, ‘Well, it’s gettin’ the same tone.’ But he’s a perfectionist, and to get to the level where he is, you have to be a bit of a perfectionist, I think. He’s a true artist, he’s hard-working and he’s a no-nonsense type of guy. At the same time, very humble, nice gentleman, and it’s an honor to be out on the H2O World Tour. It’s the best tour of the summer, in our opinion.”

Brad’s actually extended the tour into the fall, though he’ll be bringing only Darius and Justin along on the new dates as he fills out the road schedule all the way through Nov. 20.
