Craig Morgan thought he was going to enjoy a quiet Sunday afternoon on Feb. 13. He’d just returned home to Dickson, Tenn. after being on the road for a while and was ready to relax. But when he noticed a nearby house on fire, he had no choice but to take action.
Putting his skills as a former EMT and Assistant Deputy Sherriff to work, Craig raced to the scene and into the smoke-filled house. He rescued two young children still inside — and when the fire trucks arrived, firefighters handed Craig a hose to help put out the fire.
Thanks to the singer’s quick reaction, the home suffered relatively minor damage and everyone inside made it to safety. Perhaps Craig should have an “S” on his chest!
