Brantley Gilbert was having what he calls “one of the worst days of my life” when he learned just how powerful a song can be. His manager, Steve, showed him a copy of an email they had received that put Brantley’s bad day into perspective.
“It was about this guy who told me he was gonna commit suicide and listened to Prodigal Son, put the gun down, got in his truck and went to his mama’s house,” Brantley said. “And like total 360 [he's] doing great now.” That email “makes all my problems seem way, way, way smaller than what I thought they were,” he continued.
Brantley is finishing up his first album release for The Valory Music Co., due out in September. While you wait for the album, check out Brantley’s “Country Must Be Country Wide” music video. Watch “Country Must Be Country Wide” >>
