Taylor Swift returned home to Nashville last weekend for two back-to-back sold out shows at the Bridgestone Arena as part of her Speak Now World Tour. Taylor has made it a habit to bring out surprise guests during many of her shows and she had plenty of friends on hand to help make her homecoming special.
Friday night, Taylor treated the crowd to an appearance by good friend Hayley Williams of Paramore. The two friends sang the Paramore song “That’s What You Get.” Ronnie Dunn also made an appearance and performed “Bleed Red.” Saturday night, the stars kept coming. Tim McGraw joined Taylor onstage for a rendition of “Just To See You Smile” and Kenny Chesney came out for an appropriate performance of his hit song “Big Star.”
Backstage, Taylor was honored with four more awards to add to her ever-growing collection. She was given a golden ticket commemorating more than 1 million tickets sold on her Speak Now World Tour, as well as a No. 1 airplay and Platinum single plaque for her song “Back To December, a Gold plaque for “Mean” and a plaque commemorating five million copies of her Speak Now album sold worldwide. It was a homecoming Taylor won’t soon forget!
GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown was on hand for Taylor’s Nashville stand. Tune in this Friday at 8/7 CT for Nan Kelley’s interview with Taylor as well as Taylor’s opening acts, NeedToBreathe and Charlie Worsham!
