Eli Young Band has released “Even If It Breaks your Heart” as the follow up to their No. 1 hit “Crazy Girl.” While the song might be new to fans, it’s a song the band fell in love with through another artist.

“We discovered ‘Even If It Breaks Your Heart’ from Will Hoge’s Wreckage record,” Mike Eli said. “We were big fans of this song and while we were starting to make Life At Best we realized that the album was having this jangly organic, old-school feel to it, kind of Tom Petty-ish. This song felt autobiographical and fit musically right into the direction of the record.”

The new single will ship to radio this week, with an official release date of January 23. While the band makes a mean record, it’s band member Chris Thompson’s mother who makes a mean pumpkin pie. Chris shared the recipe with us as part of our 12 Days of Country Cookies. Get this recipe and more from your favorite artists! >>
