The Band Perry just released their fifth single, “Postcard From Paris,” from their self-titled debut album. But fans can rest assured, TBP is hard at work on material for their next album and even had the chance to write with one of Kimberly Perry’s heroes, Sheryl Crow.
“We’re writing with a lot of different people,” Reid Perry said. “Kind of doing it all over the place. We’ve written with Skyler Gray as well, who is a writer out of L.A., and listening to songs out of Nashville, just finding the best songs we can.”
They’ve also been writing a lot by themselves. “It’s really by default,” Kimberly said. “Basically we got started heavy on the road when “Hip to My Heart” came out and we really haven’t been home since. So just by default, a lot of times the three of us will hole up in a green room or the tour bus and really try to break ground on some new songs.”
Another set of songwriters the Perrys have spent time with lately are The Henningsons, who wrote “You Lie” and “All Your Life” for their debut album. The group will be in the studio working on their sophomore album soon, but have plans to spend much of the summer on tour with Brad Paisley.
