Blake Shelton and Adam Levine make fans of The Voice laugh every week, trading playful quips and then taking their bickering to Twitter when the show is over. The coaches-turned-friends are featured on the cover of People magazine this week where they talk about their relationship – deemed a “bromance” – plus what they really think of fellow coach Christina Aguilera.

“A few weeks ago somebody asked me, ‘What about you and Adam’s bromance. Is there anything to it?’ “Blake said to the magazine. “And I sputtered off, ‘Yeah, I’m going to make out with him.’ The next thing you read is, ‘Blake wants to kiss Adam.’ Man, I can’t believe how honest I was. But it’s fun. It’s just like we’re sitting around the bar, making jabs at each other.”

Pop star Adam didn’t go into The Voice expecting to become such good friends with country star Blake, but the two hit it off in season one almost immediately. While they’re close friends, the term ‘bromance’ does rub Adam the wrong way. “Can we please kill that stupid term?” he said. “We’re just friends. It’s called friendship!”

To read more about their friendship, clashes with Christina and double date nights with Miranda Lambert and Adam’s girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, pick up the current issue of People Magazine, on newsstands now.
