Garth Brooks will perform at the Calgary Stampede’s Centennial anniversary on July 12, reports Music Row. Ticket information for the show at the Scotiabank Saddledome will be released on Tuesday, April 10 at noon.
“Garth Brooks has a long history with Calgary,” Paul Rosenberg, vice-president of Programming, Calgary Stampede, said. “We are thrilled to have him here during our Centennial year. Garth is a country music legend; to have him perform at the Centennial Calgary Stampede is incredible.”
Garth retired from touring in 1998 and now performs a one-man show at the Wynn Las Vegas. He rarely performs outside of Vegas except for special charity events. The 2012 Centennial Calgary Stampede will be held July 6–15. Brad Paisley and The Band Perry will perform July 14 and Johnny Reid will perform on July 13. Additional concert announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
