Vince Gill will spend most of June playing acoustic guitar. Vince has announced he will play a dozen bluegrass shows next month and will be backed by some of the most acclaimed musicians in contemporary music, including fiddler Stuart Duncan, guitarist Jeff White, banjoist Jim Mills and bassist Dennis Crouch. Vince himself will play guitar and mandolin and handle vocals.

“After the passing of Earl Scruggs [on March 28] it means the world to me to do these dates with this world-class band playing the music that Earl defined,” Vince said. “I absolutely adore this music.”

Bluegrass artist Sarah Jarosz will open for Vince from June 13 through June 23. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Sarah signed with Sugar Hill Records when she was just 16. She has since released two critically-acclaimed albums, Songs Up In Her Head and Follow Me Down.
