Craig Morgan Wants YOUR Autograph

CMA Music Festival is a time for fans to get up close and personal with their favorite country stars but Craig Morgan and Jack Daniel’s, in partnership with the USO, are turning the tables. As part of Jack Daniel’s ‘Toast to the Troops’ campaign, Craig and Jack Daniel’s will be asking fans for their autographs on messages of support for our nation’s servicemen and women.

Craig, who has been part of Toast to the Troops since it began in 2005, will make an appearance at the Jack Daniel’s display inside Fan Fair Hall on June 7from 1:30-2:30 p.m. The toast cards will be collected throughout CMA Music Festival and put in special care packages during upcoming stuffing parties held this summer by the distillery and the USO.

“Obviously, I’m more than happy to take a photo and sign anything my fans would like during the CMA Music Festival, but what I really want is for them to sign a message of support for our troops,” Craig said. “Even though more and more of our troops are coming home, there are still thousands serving our nation in harm’s way.  We want them to know that they have our unconditional love and support, and signing a Toast card is one small way to demonstrate that.”

“We are so thankful for the outpouring of support we’ve witnessed for our troops through the Toast program, and we’re appreciative of every toast card we’re able to collect,” said Jennifer Powell, Senior Brand Manager for Jack Daniel’s. “We hope everyone will come out, sign a card and we’ll make sure they get to our troops serving overseas.”

Since the first Toast to the Troops event at Fort Campbell, Jack Daniel’s and the USO have held 15 stuffing events across the country and sent more than 160,000 Operation USO Care Packages overseas. The packages include items such as prepaid international calling cards, toiletries, sunscreen, playing cards, disposable cameras and snacks as well as the toast messages.

Due to heightened security, individuals can no longer send letters and packages addressed to “Any Service Member.”  The Operation USO Care Package program is the best way to send a message of encouragement directly to troops.  The USO has distributed more than two million care packages since the program’s inception in 2003.  More information on the Operation USO Care Package program and other USO programs can be found at www.uso.org.
