Brad Paisley added “New York Times Bestselling Author” to his resume with the release of his book, “Diary of a Player,” last year. The book is a salute to the guitarists of country, blues and rock & roll who have inspired Brad. Now available in paperback, Brad co-wrote the book with David Wild, a contributing editor to Rolling Stone and an Emmy-nominated television writer and producer.

Brad received his first guitar as a gift from his grandfather when he was just eight years old. By the time he turned 12, Brad had written his first song and by 13, he was opening for The Judds, Ricky Skaggs and George Jones. Now in his thirties, Brad is a country music superstar. Diary of a Player is the story of how Brad’s musical heroes made a guitar man out of him. “There are some people who drink, who seek counseling, eat, or watch TV, cry, sleep, and so on,” Brad said. “I play.”

“It is a love letter to the guitar,” Howard Books vice president and publisher, Jonathan Merkh, said. “The book pays homage to an instrument that Paisley realized was his only real constant no matter how he changed and evolved.”
