Big & Rich, Luke Bryan, Lauren Alaina, Brett Eldredge and Jana Kramer will participate in the 3rd Annual ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp June 18-22 in Nashville. ACM Lifting lives has once again partnered with the Vanderbilt Kennedy center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities for the camp. Singer/songwriter David Lee Murphy and producer Paul Worley have also volunteered their time to work with the special-needs campers throughout the week.

The week-long residential camp program is open to individuals with developmental disabilities who are talented in music. The camp also allows researchers to study Williams syndrome and other developmental disabilities while providing music enrichment through performance and education. ACM Lifting Lives funds the costs of the camp and provides scholarships to several campers. Campers will participate in a songwriting workshop and recording session as well as other music-oriented activities, ending with a live performance with Big & Rich at the Grand Ole Opry.

“As an ACM Board member, I’ve always been proud of the work that Lifting Lives has done – they truly lift lives through music – it is something we all aspire to do,” John Rich said. “We are honored we get to be a part of the Campers special night as they share their talent with the Opry audience and lift lives,” Big Kenny added.

Brett Eldredge and David Lee Murphy will kick things off June 18 with a songwriter workshop with the campers. On June 20, the campers will have the opportunity to record with Luke Bryan and Paul Workley and that evening, they’ll have dinner and sing karaoke with Lauren Alaina. The next evening they’ll enjoy a campsite cookout with Jana Kramer before Friday’s live performance at the Opry with Big & Rich.

ACM Lifting Lives is the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music. Each year, ACM Lifting Lives provides grants to music therapy and education programs while serving members of the country music community who face unexpected medical or financial hardship.
