Edens Edge’s new single, “Too Good to Be True,” is the story of a friend trying to warn another friend that her man isn’t as great as she thinks he is. Hannah Blaylock completely expects her friends to do the same for her if she were in a similar relationship.
“My best friends better be darn telling me how they feel about something,” she said. “And it doesn’t mean that I’m obligated to agree with them, but if they’re a good friend, they need to be telling me how they feel.”
The story told in the song rings true in Hannah’s real life. She was in the very same situation in a previous relationship and her band mates, Cherrill Green and Dean Berner, let her know how they felt about it. “That’s a true testament that they are my true friends and that they’ll tell me what’s up when needed,” she said.
According to Hannah, the worst thing a friend can do is wait until the relationship is over and then speak up. “That would make me mad,” she says. “Honestly.” Edens Edge is currently a special guest on Rascal Flatts’ Changed Tour.
