RaeLynn, the 18-year-old Team Blake competitor from the season two of The Voice, has signed a record deal with Republic Nashville. Blake Shelton chose her for his team and became a fast fan, followed first by wife Miranda Lambert and then legions of fans who got to know her during her time on the show.
A performance on The Voice of Pistol Annie’s “Hell on Heels” served as an introduction to RaeLynn. She went on to give memorable performances of Maroon 5’s “Wake Up Call” and Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country” before being eliminated in the show’s battle round.
“RaeLynn stole the hearts of so many on The Voice and we are thrilled to announce her on the Republic Nashville label,” Republic Nashville President and Big Machine Label Group EVP Jimmy Harnen said. “We are excited and proud to share her amazing talents with the country music community and beyond.”
Since her time on The Voice drew to a close, RaeLynn has been busy. She appeared at Stagecoach Music Festival in California to perform with Miranda Lambert and has been busying writing and recording songs for her first album.
RaeLynn will make her first appearance as a Republic Nashville artist when she performs at the Crown Royal Presents the “Your Hero’s Name Here” 400 at the Brickyard Powered by BigMachineRecords.com on July 29 alongside several of her labelmates.
