Dierks Bentley has filmed a lot of music videos, but he had the most fun he’s ever had at a shoot while filming the video for “5-1-5-0.” The video was shot just outside Savannah, Georgia in a mud-bogging pit. While Dierks was technically working, he managed to ‘multi-task’ by bringing a few of his toys to the office.
“I’m usually on the road and I have a truck and I have a four-wheeler and I don’t get to use it that often, so it was a chance to put the truck on the back of the bus and take it down there and just hang out with these people all day long and play music,” Dierks said.
He was joined by a party crowd and his band for the muddy video and no one minded getting a little dirty. “It was the most fun video shoot I’ve ever done,” he said. “It didn’t even feel like we were even doing a video shoot. I mean they were singing along as loud as they could. It’s definitely the most fun shoot we’ve ever done.”
By day’s end, Dierks was dying to put his truck to the mud-bogging test. “I wanted to give my truck a shot at going through this big mud pit,” he said. “They said I couldn’t do it and I gave it a shot, but halfway through I got stuck, so they had to come in and tow me out.”
