Pop icon Barry Gibb will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, July 27. With a career that spans more than five decades, Barry is one of the most prolific singer/songwriters and producers of the modern era. Along with his brothers Maurice and Robin, he is the co-founder and creative leader of The Bee Gees.
“I have dreamed of performing on the hallowed stage of the Opry since I was 12 years old, so this is a dream come true for me,” Barry sad. “There is no greater honor.”
The Opry is known as the show that made country music famous, but it has welcomed some of the most iconic figures in and outside of country music to its stage. Among those to grace the Opry stage include U.S. Presidents, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, Academy Award and Emmy winners, and world-famous journalists and sports figures.
