Billy Ray Cyrus lent his voice to the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s 12th annual ‘So The World May Hear’ Gala on August 4 with a performance that brought down the house. His wife Tish and their daughter Brandi accompanied him to the event, held at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minn.
“It is about the gift of love,” Billy Ray said of the foundation. “It is just incredible that they go all around the world to give people their first chance ever to hear, to sing, to dance, to communicate. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of it.”
The annual event raises awareness and benefits Starkey Hearing Foundation’s efforts to give the gift of hearing. The organization fits more than 100,000 hearing aids to people in need each year. They have also conducted missions in more than 97 countries.
Billy Ray is currently in the studio finishing his upcoming album, Change My Mind, scheduled to be released October 23. He will make his Broadway debut as lawyer Billy Flynn in Chicago beginning November 5. His run in the musical goes through December 23.
