Tim McGraw & Faith Hill: Pet Peeves & Marriage Secrets

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been married for 15 years and are still going strong. Despite their strong relationship though, they do have their pet peeves about one another and revealed a few of them in response to a fan’s question.

“I don’t think we have time for that,” Tim joked. “You go first,” Faith replied with a laugh. “Then I’ll know where I can land.” Faith took a stab at guessing what Tim’s real answer would be and also gave him credit for curbing one of his bad habits.

“If he answers this question truthfully, he’d probably say he wished I was less Type A,” Faith admitted. “He’s gotten better about the clothes on the floor.”

The couple will celebrate their 16th anniversary in October. In a day and age when celebrity marriages are often over before they begin, it’s only natural to ask what their secret is. With three daughters and a wife under his roof, Tim had his key to a peaceful household ready.

“Well I live in a house full of women so just to be as quiet as possible,” he quipped.

“He can’t have an opinion, none of those things,” Faith continued with a laugh. “He has to be quiet.” Faith got serious though and shared what works for them.

“I don’t think there’s a secret,” she said. “You just have to love the skin you’re in, basically. You have to walk this life together. There will be times, ups and downs, but you have to essentially like the person that you love. I think it’s important to laugh a lot and have a good time. Life is so short. It sounds contrived but it’s the truth.”

Tim and Faith just announced that they will perform together at The Venetian® Las Vegas for 10 weekends between December 7, 2012 and March 27, 2013. A ticket pre-sale is underway now and tickets for the general public go on sale Monday, Aug. 13.
