Martina McBride to Headline Benefit for The Shalom Foundation

Martina McBride will perform at the Hymns, Hams & Jams concert in Nashville on August 21 to benefit The Shalom Foundation and its medical program in Guatemala. The event will also feature a live auction with songwriter Bob DiPiero. GAC’s Storme Warren will host the event.

Auction items include tickets to the 2012 World Series, Garth Brooks and Sugarland autographed guitars, a private bus party, concert tickets, backstage VIP experiences and more. Tickets are available through The Shalom Foundation at 615-595-5811 or by contacting Executive Director Allison Bender,

The Shalom Foundation provides humanitarian aid to children and their families living in extreme poverty by providing educational opportunities for children and adults, food and clean water for the malnourished and community outreach. They also provide medical assistance for basic healthcare and critical care needs through The Moore Pediatric Surgery Center in Guatemala City.

The organization recently brought 14-year old Angelica Morales to Vanderbilt’s Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Nashville for surgery on a complicated vascular malformation which required more resources than those currently available at in Guatemala City. Proceeds from Hymns Hams & Jams will directly support The Shalom Foundation’s medical program.
