Oak Ridge Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd & Lee Greenwood to Perform at Republican National Convention

The Oak Ridge Boys,  Lynyrd Skynyrd and Lee Greenwood are all scheduled to take part in the 2012 Republican National Convention, which will be held August 27-30 in Tampa, Florida. Lynyrd Skynyrd will kick things off on Sunday, August 26 as part of the fundraising event Citizens Helping Heroes presents Southern Tribute IV Honoring America’s Heroes.

Lynyrd Skynyrd will also perform at the convention center on Monday, August 27, as Ann Romney is introduced to the attendees. They previously performed at the Republican National Convention in 2000.

The Oak Ridge Boys will perform the National Anthem on August 27.  They will also attend several special events during the convention.  They performed at the Republican National Convention in New Orleans in 1988 and have played at the White House on numerous occasions.

Lee Greenwood will perform twice on August 27 at events outside of the convention beginning at 9 pm at the Hard Rock Café. One show will be a private show for convention guests while the second will be open to the public.
