Eli Young Band is experiencing a bit of a baby boom! Bass player Jon Jones and his wife Sarah are expecting their first child, a boy, on December 23, reports This will be the second baby of the year for the Eli Young Band.

“It’s funny that in the band, Mike got married first, and then me,” Jon said of frontman Mike Eli. “Then Mike and Kacey got pregnant and had their baby girl in July, and Sarah and I are right behind them.”

Jon and Sarah are college sweethearts who have been married since January 2011. They spent a lot of time talking about expanding their family. When Sarah found out she was pregnant, she couldn’t wait to share the good news with him.

“We were on the road when she found out, so she sent me a picture of about a half-dozen positive pregnancy tests,” he said. “She wanted to be sure! It’s something you wish you could find out together, but she knew she couldn’t keep it to herself that long. When she called I could hear the excitement in her voice.”

Jon plans to be as hands on as his busy touring schedule allows. When he’s not on the road, he said he’ll be accompanying Sarah to doctors appointments, shopping for baby supplies, painting the nursery and attempting to pick out a name.

“It took Sarah and me a month to pick out our couches for the living room, so we’re going back and forth a lot,” he told People. “Our goal is to have a name chosen by the time he is born.”

Congratulations Jon and Sarah! In light of their happy news, we couldn’t pass up the chance to show off this gorgeous wedding photo of the happy couple when they married in 2011. Click on the photo and check out more in our Country Weddings Gallery!
