Variety reports (via the San Francisco Chronicle) that Taylor Swift has signed on to play singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell in the movie Girls Like Us, adapted from the Sheila Weller book of the same title.
The book is about the lives of Joni and fellow singer/songwriters Carly Simon and Carole King. The paper says actresses Allison Pill and Olivia Thirlby are reportedly in talks to portray Carole King; and actresses Allison Williams from Girls and Mad Men’s Jessica Pare are in the running to play Carly Simon.
