Lady Antebellum wrapped their Own The Night World Tour with their three nights of sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House in Australia this week. The tour trekked across the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia and sold out shows in major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Toronto, London and Sydney.
“The success of this tour is probably the accomplishment we are most proud of as a band,” Charles Kelley said. “It started as a sketch on a paper plate and it ended halfway around the world performing three nights at one of the most famous venues in the world. To think that we were able to take country music to all of these new places is mind-boggling to me. It’s been one long, crazy, unforgettable year for us.”
In celebration of the tour, the trio will release a live concert DVD, Own The Night World Tour, on December 4 in the U.S. and Canada with plans for a release worldwide in 2013. Fans will be able to purchase the film on DVD, Blu-ray and at all digital retailers. It includes 90 minutes of footage from their Own The Night World Tour stop in Little Rock, Arkansas in June.
The trio will also release a Christmas album, On This Winter’s Night, on October 22. For a behind the scenes look at their Own The Night Tour, click here.
