Several items belonging to Scotty McCreery are now on display at the North Carolina Museum of History. Through January 4, 2013, ‘Scotty McCreery: An American Idol’ will spotlight objects donated to the museum by Scotty himself. Admission is free.

Among the objects on display are the outfit Scotty wore for his duet, “Live Like You Were Dying,” with Tim McGraw during his run on American Idol; the lyrics sheet for “Live Like You Were Dying” which indicates which parts went to which artist with ‘S’ and ‘T’ marks; the gold record presented to Scotty for gold certification of his debut album, Clear As Day; and the backstage pass used by his mother for the American Idol final rehearsal and show.

Scotty will release his Christmas album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, on October 16. For more information about the North Carolina Museum of History, call 919-807-7900 or go to
