Luke Bryan Leads American Country Awards Nominees

The nominees for the 2012 American Country Awards have been announced! Luke Bryan leads the way with seven nominations while Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown Band follow close behind with six each. Hosted once again by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth, the awards will air live on FOX on December 10 at 8/7 p.m. CT.

Luke along with Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band are up for Artist of the Year. Luke and Jason are also nominated for Artist of the Year: Male along with Eric Church, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith. Artist of the Year: Female nominees include Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.

New to the ACAs this year is the Song of the Year category. Nominees for the award are determined by the Professional Songwriting Division of the Nashville Songwriters Association. The only fan-voted country music awards, fans can place their votes once a day for their favorite nominee. Voting ends Monday, November 12 except for Artist of the Year which closes Friday, December 7. Vote now »
