Love and Theft has released “Runnin’ Out of Air” as the follow up to “Angel Eyes,” the duo’s first No. 1 single. The song is about the feeling of being near your heart’s desire and knowing it is as good as it is bad. Written by Matt Jenkins, Shane McAnally, and Josh Osborne, Love and Theft’s Eric Gunderson called it a “must-record” the first time he heard it.
“We all were just like, ‘Well, we have to cut that! That’s awesome!’” he said. “It doesn’t sound like anything else that you would hear on a record or the radio right now. It’s got an old-school feel, but it also has a cool modern thing to it.”
Recently nominated for two CMA Awards, Love and Theft is now up for an American Country Award in the Music Video of the Year: Group or Collaboration category for “Angel Eyes.” A behind-the-scenes look at the soon-to-be-released music video for “Runnin’ Out of Air” can be seen HERE.
