Eric Church & Carrie Underwood Pick Up Year-End Touring Honors

Eric Church’s The Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour has picked up a couple of coveted year-end honors. The tour came in at No. 11 on Pollstar’s Worldwide Ticket Sales 2012 chart which includes names like Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay and Lady Gaga. He was also the only country artist to included in The New York Times feature, “The Best Concerts of 2012, as Seen by Times Critics.”

“To be listed beside these acts—based solely on the number of tickets sold throughout the year on our tour—is just incredible,” Eric said of the Pollstar honors. “I distinctively remember playing for eight people just over two years ago in a club in Texas, so to hear that that number has grown to what it was in 2012 is a true testament to the fans, their passion, and my band and crew’s dedication to making our show the best it can be night after night.”

Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour, which wrapped December 22 after visiting 62 cities across the U.S., Canada, the UK and Australia also picked up year-end honors. She ended 2012 as the Top Female Country Touring Artist according to Pollstar’s year-end chart. .

Pollstar also released their year-end Top 50 Worldwide  Tour chart. Country acts to make the list include Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw’s co-headlining Brothers of the Sun Tour at No. 7, Jason Aldean at No. 24, Brad Paisley at No. 28, Lady Antebellum at No. 32, Zac Brown Band at No. 42, Eric Church at No. 43, Carrie Underwood at No. 47 and Rascal Flatts at No. 48.
