The people have spoken and they have named Taylor Swift as their Favorite Country Artist at the People’s Choice Awards. Olivia Munn, who earlier joked that Taylor’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” was written about her, held on to the trophy a little too tightly, reminding the audience of Kanye West’s interruption at the MTV Awards. Taylor went along with the moment, saying “This always happens” before graciously thanking her fans.

“You guys have blown my mind with what you have done with this album, Red,” she said. “I want to thank you for caring about my music and caring about me.”

Taylor ended up being the only country artist of the night to pick up an award. Favorite Female Artist, where Taylor was again nominated alongside Carrie Underwood, went to Katy Perry while Jason Mraz was named Favorite Male Artist, a category Blake Shelton earned a nomination in. Jason Aldean represented the country genre by rocking the stage with a performance of “My Kinda Party.”

Katy Perry went on to be the night’s big winner on the music front, picking up four awards total. The Hunger Games along with cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth picked up a number of awards in the movie-related categories. See a complete list of winners HERE.
