Lady Antebellum will host their inaugural Ping Pong & Songs fundraising event on March 23 at The Ensworth School in Nashville. Inspired by the band’s favorite backstage hobby and love of songwriting, the event will include a celebrity ping pong tournament and in-the-round songwriters’ night. Proceeds will benefit the group’s charitable organization, LadyAID.
“This is really a dream day for us…getting friends and fans together to play ping pong, play music and raise money for LadyAID,” Dave Haywood said. “Charles and I…better known as ‘The Dynasty’…will challenge anyone who wants to try and take us at the table! It’s going to be a total blast.”
Players will receive a commemorative player kit and two tickets to the finals and concert potion of the event with registration. Individual tournament finals tickets and ticket bundles will also be available for purchase. Tickets for both portions of the event go on sale this Friday, February 15 at 11a|10c at LadyAID.org.
LadyAID was set up in 2012 to bring awareness to and generate support for children in need locally, nationally and globally. The multi-level organization reaches children across the state of Tennessee through grants to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. On a national level, LadyAID supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and on a global level, myLIFEspeaks and The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
