Jake Owen was a huge fan of Florida Georgia Line long before the duo inked their record deal and released “Cruise” to country radio. Jake even gave Brian Kelley a very nice McPherson guitar when he needed one, even though it was one of Jake’s favorites. In a twist of fate, McPherson is building the duo their own custom guitars and Brian plans to give Jake back his.

“I think I’m actually gonna give it back to him ‘cause McPherson is the top of guitars, our dream guitars,” Brian said. “They’re just acoustic and they play amazing, they sound amazing. They look really cool.”

The pair won’t forget how much Jake has helped them, not only with the guitar but by tweeting about their music and letting them open shows for him before they were a signed duo with a hit song to their credit.

“It just shows what kind of guy he is,” Brian said. “He’s the most giving person. Not only did he help spread the word but he’s been kind of like a mentor, not only musically but just in life in general. He’s played a huge role in our career and lives for sure.”

Florida Georgia Line just released their new single, “Get Your Shine On.” Watch the new music video here.
