In the last eight months, Florida Georgia Line has watched their career skyrocket. They went from being independent artists to signing a record deal and seeing “Cruise” hit No. 1 and reach double platinum status. The duo’s success didn’t come overnight, though. The pair put in a lot of hard work before “Cruise” took off.

“I don’t think we expected anything like this but at the same time we pushed as hard as we could, worked as hard as we could work,” Tyler Hubbard said. “The stars kinda aligned, everything’s working out super fast but we’re just along for the ride. We both hoped a long time ago and said, ‘Let’s do this thing and see what happens.’”

With their new single, “Get Your Shine On,” rising up the charts, they’re hoping the ride lasts. “We’re on a pretty fast train right now,” Tyler said. “Hopefully it’s not gonna fall off the track anytime soon.”

Florida Georgia Line is a special guest on Luke Bryan’s Dirt Road Diaries Tour and will join Taylor Swift on select dates of her RED Tour later this year. Watch their new “Get Your Shine On” video here.
